Smoking is banned in Boston parks.

Boston Parks and Recreation Commission makes it immediately illegal to smoke cigarettes, marijuana, and other “lighted or vaporized” substances in 251 parks, squares, cemeteries, and other spaces run by the Parks and Recreation Department. The locations include Boston Common, the Public Garden, and Franklin Park. Violators of the ban are liable for a fine of $250.
